The Sorel Mini Tourist Guide - The ferry

The ferry to Sorel-Tracy operates the year round and crosses the St-Lawrence river between Saint-Ignace-de-Loyola (autoroute 40, exit 144 to Berthierville) and the port of Sorel.

The service takes about 10 minutes and is provided by two ferries operated by la Société des traversiers du Québec namely the M.V. Catherine-Legardeur and the M.V. Lucien-L. Each ship can carry approximately 50 vehicles.
